HOW IT WORKS

1 - Submit Your Buylist

Click Get Started below to open the buylist. Choose English Pokémon, Japanese Pokémon or Vintage & Mid Era, then search or browse for your cards. Pick the printing (and the condition for Vintage & Mid Era) and click Add To Cart. Selling a stack? Use Scan Your Cards to add them with your phone's camera.

Review your cart, click Submit Buylist and fill in the Submission Information form. Choose Mail-In or Drop-Off and your payout method: Store Credit or PayPal. If you choose PayPal, double-check your PayPal email. You'll see your Buylist ID on screen right away.

2 - Wait For Approval

Our team reviews every submission and approves it within 24 hours (if approved). You'll get a Buylist Approval Email with your Buylist ID and shipping instructions. Your offer locks in when we approve your buylist.

3 - Ship Or Drop Off Your Cards

Print your buylist approval and include it in your package. Pack your cards using the Buylist Guide below and ship them with tracking and insurance that covers their value to Poke-Collect, ATTN: BUYLIST, 181 Hughes Road, Suite 5, Madison, AL 35758. You pay for shipping, and we don't cover packages lost, damaged or stolen in transit.

Prefer to drop off? Bring your cards and your printed buylist approval to the store. We must receive your cards within 14 days of approval.

4 - Condition Verification

Once your cards arrive, our buylist team carefully inspects each card to verify its condition. Sword & Shield era to present singles must be Near Mint. Sun & Moon and older (Vintage & Mid Era) are paid by the condition you chose.

If any cards don't meet the condition you submitted, or we decline a card, we'll email you a revised offer before your buylist is finalized. You'll have 5 days from our email to review it, and we'll send a reminder on day 3. If we don't hear back within 5 days, we'll decide which condition-changed cards to buy at the new price or send back, and declined cards will be sent back with $5 tracked return shipping taken from your payout.

5 - Get Paid

Once your cards have been received and verified, we pay you with the method you chose:

  • Store Credit: always pays more, and it's added to the Poke-Collect account for your email
  • PayPal: no fees, sent to your PayPal email

BUYLIST GUIDE

CARD PREPARATION

  • Sleeve Cards Individually:

    For all of the cards submitted in your buylist, please place each card in a penny sleeve or a similar protective sleeve.

  • Don't Use:

    Please avoid using perfect fit sleeves due to their snug fit, which can damage cards upon removal. Similarly, refrain from using Elite Trainer Box or Deck sleeves, as they also pose a risk of damaging cards during the buylist process.

PACKAGING MATERIALS

  • 1/5: Team Bags/Plastic Bags

    Group sleeved cards together in team bags or small plastic bags to keep them organized and prevent shifting during transit.

  • 2/5: Bubble Mailer Or Small Box

    For smaller submissions (under 50 cards), a padded bubble mailer is acceptable. For larger submissions, use a sturdy cardboard box.

  • 3/5: Packing Material

    Use bubble wrap, packing peanuts, crumpled newspaper, or other cushioning materials to fill any empty space in the package and prevent cards from moving around.

  • 4/5: Utilize Cardboard And Toploaders

    Although cards valued less than $30 should not be submitted in toploaders, we understand their value. When you're shipping, we still suggest using toploaders or cardboard! The best tip from us is to sandwich your cards between two pieces of cardboard or toploaders inside a team bag for extra safety.

  • 5/5: Cards Over $30 Value

    For individual cards OVER $30 in value, you may place them in a top loader for extra protection. That does not mean ALL the cards in the buylist, only those individual cards that are worth $30 and above. 
Bulk

How To Pack Bulk

Bulk is bought by the count, so it has its own packing rules. Hits (ex, V, VMAX, VSTAR, GX, Shiny, Full Art And Illustration Rare, plus Japanese RR, RRR And AR) are priced per card. Commons, Uncommons, Holos And Reverse Holos are priced per stack of 100 cards.

  • Near Mint, Right Language, No SleevesAll bulk must be Near Mint and in its category's language, English or Japanese. Bulk doesn't need penny sleeves, even ex, V and other hits.
  • Separate Every Rarity And LanguageKeep each bulk category apart from every other category, English and Japanese apart, and apart from any singles in your buylist.
  • Stacks Of 100Pack bulk in stacks of up to 100 cards. Team bags are best; plastic wrap or paper wrap also works. Label each stack with its category and count.
  • Large Bulk Goes In Storage BoxesFor larger bulk buylists, use cardboard storage boxes such as BCW 1 To 5 Row boxes, with each category in its own section.
  • Packed Another Way? Returned At Your CostBulk that isn't separated and packed this way is returned to the seller at the seller's expense.

FAQ

Can You Refuse My Buylist?

Yes we have the right to refuse your buylist for but not limited to the following

  • The cards are severely damaged
  • If they smell like cigarettes, or other harsh odors 
  • If they are dirty or have any sticky residue on them
  • You sent us fake cards (you will not receive those back and we will communicate with you with photos)

How Long Does Approval Take?

We review every submission and approve it within 24 hours (if approved). You'll get a Buylist Approval Email with your Buylist ID and shipping instructions. Please don't ship until you're approved.

What Do I Include In My Package?

Print and include your buylist approval inside your package. It's how we match your cards to your buylist.

How Long Do I Have To Get My Submission To You?

We must receive your cards within 14 days of approval. Your offer locks in when we approve your buylist. If your cards arrive later than that, we may need to re-price your buylist because the market is always changing.

Who Is Responsible For Shipping Costs?

You as the customer are responsible for shipping your cards to us, and for return shipping on any declined cards you want back. Please ship with tracking and insurance that covers the value of your cards.

What If I Don't Respond To A Revised Offer?

When we change a card's condition or decline a card, we email you a revised offer. You'll have 5 days from our email to review it, and we'll send a reminder on day 3. If we don't hear back within 5 days, we'll decide which condition-changed cards to buy at the new price or send back, and declined cards will be sent back with $5 tracked return shipping taken from your payout.

Do I Need Tracking And Insurance?

Yes, we strongly recommend it. Ship with tracking and insurance that covers the full value of your cards. Check your carrier's or insurer's coverage for collectibles and its declared-value rules first, because declaring a value doesn't always mean your package is insured.

What If My Package Is Lost, Damaged Or Stolen?

Poke-Collect does not cover packages lost, damaged or stolen in transit to us. Your shipment is your responsibility until we receive it, and you're responsible for filing any claim with your carrier or insurer.

Can The Payout Method Be Changed After Submission?

Yes, please just email us as soon as you can. We cannot change it once we pay you out. 

Can I Split The Payment Method Between PayPal And Store Credit?

No, we will not be able to offer that. We recommend submitting two separate buylists with the different payouts.

What Card Conditions Do You Accept?

Sword & Shield era to present: Near Mint only. Anything else will be declined.

Sun & Moon and older (Vintage & Mid Era, English and Japanese): paid by the condition you choose: Near Mint, Lightly Played or Moderately Played. Japanese played cards are only bought in Vintage & Mid Era.

Important Notes

  • Tracking And Insurance: Ship with tracking and insurance that covers the full value of your shipment. Poke-Collect does not cover packages lost, damaged or stolen on the way to us, and your shipment is your responsibility until we receive it. Check your carrier's or insurer's coverage for collectibles and its declared-value rules before you ship. If something goes wrong, you file the claim with your carrier or insurer.
  • Anything from the Sword & Shield Era to the present is considered modern. Anything that is not Near Mint will be automatically declined. We will not pay out based on condition for modern cards, even if they are Lightly Played. Anything older than Sword & Shield (Sun & Moon and older) is Vintage & Mid Era, and we pay out based on the condition you choose. Japanese played cards are only bought in Vintage & Mid Era.
  • Fake Cards: All fake cards found in buylists will not be returned to the owner to prevent fake cards from circulating back into the market.
  • Declined Cards: Please note that if the declined cards' value is less than $25 or 10% of the total value of the buylist, they will be subject to our donation policy. See below. Please note that the customer is responsible for shipping cost to get declined cards returned to them.
  • Please note that singles not claimed within 60 days will be subject for donation.

Buylist Policies

  • Buylists are reviewed and approved within 24 hours (if approved). Your offer locks in at approval.
  • We must receive your cards within 14 days of approval.
  • Print and include your buylist approval in your package.
  • Modern cards (Sword & Shield to present) must be Near Mint. Vintage & Mid Era cards are paid by the condition you choose.
  • All submissions are condition-checked upon arrival, and payment is sent after inspection.
  • Counterfeit cards will not be returned.
  • Condition adjustments or declined cards are emailed to you as a revised offer. You'll have 5 days from our email to review it, and we'll send a reminder on day 3. If we don't hear back within 5 days, we'll decide which condition-changed cards to buy at the new price or send back, and declined cards will be sent back with $5 tracked return shipping taken from your payout.
  • Customers are responsible for shipping costs, including return shipping on any requested return items.

Donation Policy

  • Should the total value of cards returned due to condition be less than $25 or less than 10% of the total value of the buylist, your Pokémon cards will be donated to our local Sunday "Learn to Play" events, where they'll find new homes with younger trainers! For returns exceeding $25 or those that exceed 10% of the total value, we will contact you via email to discuss your preferred option: either have the cards returned to you or donate them to the Sunday “Learn to Play” events! 
  • Please note that singles not claimed within 60 days will be subject for donation.
